stop sign Have you checked PowerShool? This is your responsibility! Make sure that the grade you are recieving is the grade you are expecting. If not, then it is probably a good idea to talk to your teacher about why that is. Easy hed 796x398 Technology is not an easy button to be exploited. It is created by humans to aid in a variety of tasks. It must be learned, harnessed and mastered.

After learning to master a variety of Adobe tools and strategies for creating everything from layers, to shapes, to using filters, effects, and manipulating paths, it is time to take all of your knowledge and put it to good use. For this assignment, you are literally the star of the show. It is your job to create something totally unique,...in the form of a Graphic Image (postcard, meme, slide, etc) In fact, you will design two different (unique) Graphic images.

Both images must be 4 inches x 6 inches in size, whether vertical (tall) or horizontal (wide). Set the resolution at 150

  • Create a new folder in your "Communications 1" folder and title it "Graphic Image" (This is where all materials for your manipulated image designs will be stored)

You are designing two (2) different images

  • The design must use an image of you (or, you and a friend, or a few freinds, etc) that is extrapolated from the background by using the pen tool. You cannot use the same photo for both images (4 points) *Use your iPad/Phone/Digital Camera to take your photo - NO IMAGES FROM FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM, ETC. WILL BE ALLOWED
  • The design must use at least four Photoshop filters on each image (4 points) (the best way to keep track of your filters is to go to File on the menu bar and then select File Info. There is a box that comes up that you can type in the Description. Type your filter names in that box.

    filter description

  • The design must use a combination of shapes and photo-realistic images (4 points)
  • The design must use some form of "Type on Path" element, for both images (4 points)
  • The design must appear dimensional (foreground, middle ground, and background) (4 points)
  • The design must (for both images) use the Illustrator "Image Trace" function (4 points)
  • The design must (for both images) use the "Paste Into" function of Photoshop (4 points) - remember bird, cat, and dog from your layer exercises?
  • Two different images must be designed and saved as PSD files in your Graphic Image folder.
  • Create a new Illustrator document, using Two ArtBoards all set at 4 inches (H)  by 6 inches (W) or 6 inches (W) by 4 inches (W). Place your two images PSD files into each of the Art Boards. Save this document as "Graphic Image Finished.PDF"(4 points)

    (4 points each / 36 points total)
